Four counties to experience power interruption on Wednesday

The planned power outage is done periodically to facilitate system maintenance.

Kenya Power has announced planned power interruption in four counties on Wednesday.

The utility firm said the scheduled power interruption will occur in parts of Nairobi, Kisumu, Nyeri and Tharaka Nithi counties.

In a public notice Tuesday evening, Kenya Power said the scheduled outage will be effected from 8.30am to 5pm in the affected areas.

Planned power interuptions are done periodically to facilitate system maintenance.

Parts of Nairobi to experience power interruption from 9am to 5pm are Starehe Boys Centre, Pumwani Boys, BBS Mall and Ismariot Restaurant.

Outage in Kisumu will occur from 9am to 3pm.

Areas to be affected are Wildor, Kalusi, Bungu, Rweya, Masawa, Hera, Kasese, Obumba, Achuodho, Chiga, Aloo Gumbi, Mayienya, Nyamonge and adjacent customers.

In Nyeri, interruption will be from 8am to 5pm.

Areas to be affected include Karura Market, Karura C/Fact, Karura Primary School, Eng Maina, Gathumbi Village, part of Unjiru Village and Ngari Junior village.

Others are Ragati Primary School, Ragati Secondary School, Iharu village, Gikumbo market, Kiandara village, Gathambo TBC, Gaturumo-Ini TBC, Kiamigwi village and Shauri Moyo.

Still within Kihuro village, power will be out during the period stated in Gaikuyu market, Magutu Secondary  School, Gitunduti market, Gwa Kigera, Gwa Ichang’i and Safaricom Booster.

Kirimara Farm, Kirimara Factory, parts of Ndurutu and adjacent customers will also experience power interruption in Nyeri.

Kisumu will experience power interruption from 8.30am to 5pm in Chuka KCB, Chuka Girls, Ushirika Plaza, Nchamba Cyber, Kimbumbu Market, Califonia, Mukungungu, Tungu C/Fact, Kiangondu market and Kariuko TBC.
