Police are hunting for suspects behind the fatal stabbing of a 24-year-old man in the Ruai area, Nairobi.

Ian Omondi is said to have succumbed to his injuries while being attended to in hospital following the July 4 incident.

Police said the deceased had been at a known drinking den when he picked up a quarrel with other unknown people.

This prompted a physical confrontation that turned fatal after he was stabbed in the buttocks.

The body of the man was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.

Elsewhere in Cheptaywa village within the Gavudunyi sub-location, Vihiga County, a 46-year-old man was found killed on the roadside.

The body of the man identified as Nelson Galuktwa was discovered about 50 metres from his homestead.

The body had a cut on the left side of the face, bruises around the neck, and blood oozing from the mouth.

His relatives told police the deceased left home in the company of his three friends on July 2 at night and did not come back.

His body was discovered the following day. Police said they are investigating a murder in the saga.
