Mbooni Girls School students injured in Makueni road accident

Several students from Mbooni Girls High School have sustained injuries after a public service vehicle they were travelling in got involved in a road accident.

The students got injured after the bus belonging to Tawala Sacoo overturned along Kikima – Machakos road at Kali area in Mbooni, Makueni County on Saturday.

Eyewitnesses said the motor vehicle’s driver lost control before it swerved on the road and overturned leading to the injuries.

The bus that was moving from Mbooni towards the Machakos general direction was extensively damaged with its front windscreen shuttered.

It wasn’t clear how many occupants were in the motor vehicle during the incident alongside the extent of injuries they sustained.

Well-wishers helped rush the victims to the hospital for medication.

“The injured persons have been rushed to Kikima and Machakos Level 5 hospitals in Makueni and Machakos respectively for medication,” an eye witness told the Star by phone shortly after the incident.
