KPLC lists areas to experience scheduled power cuts on Tuesday

The power company conducts system maintenance in select areas on routine basis.

Several parts of the country will go without power for several hours on Tuesday, Kenya Power said on Monday evening.

The power company conducts routine power maintenance in select areas.

Counties to be affected by Tuesday's planned power interruption include Nairobi, Kajiado, Kisumu, Bungoma, Nyeri and Homa Bay.

The power interruption is scheduled to take place between 9am and 5pm.

Nairobi

Power interruption in Nairobi will occur along Eastern Bypass, China Road, Gesora Road, Corradin Easts, Mihango SDA, Karagita, Kenya Builders Quarry, Shamji Ramji Quarry, Maono Prayer Centre, Esrd Estate and Buruburu Farmers.

Githunguri, Corner ABCD, BMI Plaza, Pedesta, Crown, Bima Court, National Oil, Embakasi Ranching, Muhuri Muchiri Secondary, parts of Eastern Bypass, Rubis petrol station, Gatuoro, Sewage plant, Kamnyonge and Kwa Ruto will also be without power during that period.

Other areas to be affected in Nairobi are Ruai shopping centre, Ruai Police, Ruai DC, Githunguri, Block 10, Makongeni, Stage 26, Twin Bird, Kipawa, Made in the Streets, Kingoris, Kamulu, Reflector, Brookshine and Ngondu.

Some establishments in Utawala will also be affected by the power interruption.

These are parts of Eastern By Pass, Weacon Supermarket, Triple O Hotel, Bakri Petrol Station, Fahari Hotel, Komarock Modern Hospital, St Bakhita Hospital, Oil Libya petrol station, Benedicta hospital, parts of Mihango East, Utawala shopping centre, Kinka, Githunguri, Maji Ya Ngilu, Tamarind, Zebra and MC East.

Areas in Njiru to experience the power interruption are the whole of Njiru, Shujaa East, Total petrol station, Kobil, Aquinas High School, QMP, Buruburu Farmers, Midax, Karau Stage, Kirima East, Njiru Slaughter, Njiru Leather, Njiru Light Industries, Njiru Mosque, Chokaa, Njiru Slaughter, St Monica Catholic and Njiru Dispensary.

Vicken 30, Platinum Distillers, Shell petrol station, Afro Sayari, Infinity Park, Cold Storage, parts of Eastern Bypass, Sea Food EAL, Mwaki Hardware, Redmak Leather and Country Club will also experience power cuts in Nairobi.

Other areas in Nairobi to experience power interruption are the whole of KCC village, Galleria Mall, Mwiri Lane and Oilbya Galleria.

Kajiado

Parts of Kajiado will also experience power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

They include the whole of Kajiado town, Oloosuyian, Saab Royale, Oloiyangalani, TATA Chemicals, Kajiado Law Courts, DC Prison, KMQ, Mile 46, Unique Mining and Duka Moja.

Kisumu

In Kisumu, Sondu town, Nyakach Girls, Achego, Oboch, Gari, Nyamarimba Girls, Nyabondo Mission, Kabete, Sigoti and Bodi will experience power disruption from 9am to 3pm.

Bungoma

Parts of Bungoma will experience power cuts from 9am to 2pm.

They are Bwake, Luuya Girls, Khachonge Market, Kiboochi and Khachonge T/Fact.

Nyeri

Amboni Dairy, Kiguru, Wendiga, Arkraod, Aamario, Arklodge, PCEA Amboni, Kagiri and Muragaru Dairy Farm in Nyeri will experience power cuts from 9am to 5pm.

Homa Bay

In Homa Bay, Ogandi Girls, Arujo and Ndiru will have power interruption from 9am to 3pm.
