Eldoret City
Ruto led the conferment of Eldoret municipality to a city status.
Eldoret has since become the fifth in Kenya after Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa and Nakuru.
The ceremony was filled with pomp and colour even as Ruto assigned a seal to the conferment charter.
The ceremony took place after the assessment that Eldoret met the criteria for classification as a city under The Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011 and approval by the County Assembly of Uasin Gishu and the Senate.
Champions' reception
It was a morning filled with joy, laughter and a bright shade of colour red as the Team Kenya for the Paris 2024 Olympics landed at Eldoret Airport.
They had a moment of dancing and admiring the medals brought back from the French Capital.
They were received with celebrations and shared a moment with Kenyans and leaders.
Ruto, Kisii leaders fireside chat
Ruto on Tuesday held a fireside chat with a section of leaders at Kisii State Lodge.
The chat provided an opportunity for Kisii leaders to engage President Ruto on issues of development regarding the region.
Ruto was in the region for a three-day development tour that ended on Thursday.
NPS Olympic medalists honoured
The National Police Service honoured police athletes who won medals at the just concluded Paris Olympics.
Acting IG of Police Gilbert Masengeli crowned the athletes at the NPS headquarters at Vigilance House, Nairobi.
India's 78th Independence Day
Environment Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale on Thursday joined Indian High Commissioner Namgya Khampa in growing 3,000 bamboo trees at City Park, Nairobi.
The exercise was done to mark India's 78th Independence Day.
Duale was accompanied by Forestry PS Gitonga Mugambi at the event organized by the Earth Keepers Foundation.
Gachagua's morning walk
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday took his morning walks in Eldoret, the Home of Champions.
He said from the interactions, the people are ready to have the City of Eldoret.
The DP has made it a routine to have morning walks, whenever he is in other towns on a working tour.
Mbonyi's concert
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka was among the popular leaders who graced the gospel artist Israel Mbonyi Africa Worship Experience Concert, held at the Ulinzi Sports Complex on Saturday.
Mbonyi shared the stage with several prominent Kenyan gospel artists.
The crowd enthusiastically joined in as he performed some of his most beloved songs, including "Nitaamini," "Nina Siri," "Sikiliza," "Yanitosha," and "Yeriko."
