Police are probing three separate cases of defilement reported to them.

The cases involved young girls.

In one of the cases, a suspect was arrested while in the other two, a hunt for the alleged perpetrators is ongoing.

The first incident was reported in Kwale County on Monday.

A woman told police her daughter aged 16 was defiled by a 67-year-old man who is known to them.

The suspect is said to be a pastor.

Police visited the scene and established that the suspect lured the victim to his house and committed the act.

He was arrested and both were escorted to Lunga Lunga subcounty hospital for medical examination.

Police said the suspect would be charged in court with the offences.

In Nakuru, a woman reported that her daughter aged 15 and a grade eight learner was defiled.

She reported that on the diverse dates between the 13th and 16th day of August 2024 a well-known person, a businessman operating in the area lured the minor with money and defiled her in his house severally.

The minor was escorted to Molo subcounty hospital for medical examination and efforts to apprehend the suspect were in progress.

The suspect is yet to be found.
