Fire razes furniture shop along Thika Road, owners count losses

A business owner is counting losses after fire broke out in a furniture shop on Wednesday at around 10 am.

The furniture shop is situated along the Zimmerman area at Thika Superhighway.

Confirming the tragedy, Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei said police are investigating the cause of the fire.

"So far no injuries reported but the property was destroyed in the fire," he said.

This is the second fire in the furniture shop in less than a year.

People who work in the shop were seen scrambling to save their wares.
