President William Ruto and Kenya's AUC chairman candidate, Raila Odinga, Wednesday, met six African leaders on the sidelines of the ongoing high-level Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit (FOCAC) in Beijing, China
The forum officially began on Wednesday and will go through to Friday.
The gathering, which happens every three years, brings together 53 African countries and China to discuss important topics in the Africa-China relationship, including trade, investment, and development.
Raila is seeking to become the next African Union Commission chairman. For this reason, Ruto has been holding bilateral meetings with African leaders on the sidelines of FOCAC to boost Raila's numbers in the vote slated for February 2025.
