This comes at a time when the country is still reeling from shock after a dormitory fire at Endarasha Academy in Nyeri claimed the lives of 21 children.

The pupils died after a fire broke out in a dormitory at the school around 11 pm on Thursday.

Three other learners at the Isiolo Girls High School sustained injuries after a fire ran through dormitories at the school on Saturday, sparking protests from locals.

The cause of the fire incidents at the schools is still unknown.
