Police probe suicide as Juja man found dead in electrical shop

Detectives are investigating three separate suicide cases in different parts of the country.

The first case is of a man whose body was found in his electrical shop in Juja town.

The man identified as Ronald Kiprotich Kemboi aged 31 years was found in his electrical shop by his wife after having failed to report home as usual.

According to police, he committed suicide by hanging himself using an electric cable that was tied around his neck.

Police officers visited and processed the scene.

No suicide note was recovered police said. The body was taken to the General Kago mortuary awaiting postmortem examinations.

In Gucha Kisii County, the body of a man aged 45 was found after a suspected suicide.

Police said the man identified as Moses Matino Kinaro committed suicide by slitting his throat using a kitchen knife.

The motive of the incident is still unknown, and no suicide note was recovered.

Police officers from Ogembo police station moved the body to Tabaka Mission Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The scene was processed, and the body is lying at the same hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.

Elsewhere in Esani location, Masaba, Nyamira, a 41-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree.

Upon visiting the scene, Police officers from Gesima police station found the body at Gesabakwa "A" village.

No suicide note was found, police said

The motive of the incident is also unknown.

Necessary action was taken, and the body was moved to the Gucha nursing home mortuary awaiting autopsy.

The case is pending under investigation.
