President William Ruto left the country on Friday, September 20, for New York, in the United States of America, to attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
While in New York, the President has held a series of meetings including with the Kenyan community in the US, as well as a Kenya Business and Investments breakfast meeting, among others.
He also participated in the launch of the Program for Investment and Financing in Africa’s Health (PIFAH), in addition to addressing the Summit of the Future, United Nations General Assembly Hall.
The President has also held several sideline meetings with leaders of different countries.
Further engagements and meetings are expected to continue today.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is part of Ruto's delegation in some of these meetings.
Ruto, in meetings with African leaders, is also lobbying for Raila's bid to become the next African Union Commission chairperson.
Several Cabinet Secretaries are also in New York.
So far, Ruto has held meetings with the following leaders:

- Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah - Crown Prince of Kuwait
- Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani - Prime Minister of Iraq
- Andrew Holness - Prime Minister of Jamaica
- Luis Abinader - President of the Dominican Republic
- Queen Máxima - Kingdom of the Netherlands
- Bassirou Diomaye Faye - President of Senegal
