Bungoma man in agony after thieves steal his eight cows

A farmer is seeking help to recover his eight cows that were stolen by suspected thieves in a village in Bungoma’s Lwakhakha area.

The 61-year-old man identified by police as Jialo Masinde woke up and found that his herd of cattle, consisting of three bulls, three cows, and two calves, all valued at Sh240,000 were missing.

Officers from Lwakhakha Police Station visited the scene and established that the animals had been tethered in his compound and were stolen by unknown individuals during the night.

Police say the robbers drove the cattle to an unknown destination.

Efforts are underway to trace the stolen cattle, and further progress reports will follow, police said.

On Tuesday night, a fire incident occurred in Reuben slums, Nairobi, at 9:30 pm.

Police say they received a report of the fire from Railway B Zone Reuben slums.

Preliminary investigations by police indicate that the fire started in one of the rooms before spreading to other 268 units.

 The fire was contained by the Nairobi fire brigade.

The cause of the fire was not immediately established, and no injury or life was lost.

Elsewhere, on Tuesday at 11:07 pm fire erupted at a scrap metal store situated opposite white house in Langata and consumed her properties of unknown value.

Preliminary investigation by Police Officers indicates a possibility of arson and police say the suspect was arrested.

The fire was contained by the Nairobi fire brigade and no injury or loss of life was reported during the incident, police said.

Police officers from Langata Police Station visited the scene and necessary action was taken
