Deputy President Kithure Kindiki to preside over the opening ceremony of the Annual Editors’ Convention at Sarova Woodlands in Nakuru.

The five-day meeting which started Wednesday is organised by the Kenya Editors Guild (KEG).

Editors meet to share ideas in line with this year's theme of innovative storytelling that can build public trust and drive change in the digital world.

Other distinguished speakers expected to grace the meeting are Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika and Liu Zhenyu, Director for Information and Public Affairs at the Chinese Embassy. 

Bomas of Kenya CEO case

A Nairobi court will today hear the Sh8.6 million graft case facing Bomas of Kenya CEO Peter Koria.

Koria was charged with the offence in April this year.

He has since denied charges of procurement irregularity amounting to Sh8.6 million.

Sotik shooting

Detectives in Sotik, Bomet are set to interrogate a senior cop who shot and injured a man at bar in the area on Tuesday before fleeing.

The Chief Inspector of police surrendered Thursday.

Defenders Coalition's Human Rights Award.

The Defenders Coalition's Human Rights Award will hold its awards ceremony.

The awards are in different categories and recognizes leading human rights defenders who have put outstanding efforts in championing causes of beneficial to their communities.

CS Murkomen gives update on Kasarani stadium renovations

Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen is expected to give an update of Kasarani Stadium renovations.

Kasarani is being upgraded with a new canopy, lighting system, and tartan track.

Recently, Murkomen mentioned that several training grounds for CHAN, including Kasarani Annex ground, Kenya Academy of Sports, and Kirigiti Stadium, will also be available.

Kenya is currently engaged in an ambitious endeavour to construct stadiums throughout the nation to establish itself as a competitive sports destination and promote the development of talent.

Stakeholders regard the initiative as a significant advancement in the nation’s sports infrastructure that will give athletes access to cutting-edge facilities and provide communities with places for events and leisure activities.
