
A 34-year-old man died of a stabbing following a domestic fight in Wamba Town, Samburu County.
Police said Amos Lemeleni was stabbed in the chest and
died at a local hospital while being attended to.
He is said to have been engaged in a domestic fight with
his wife, which turned fatal on February 25.
A kitchen knife that was used in the attack was recovered
at the scene, police said adding that the woman was also arrested for questioning
and possible arraignment.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and
other investigations.
Meanwhile, police are investigating a murder in a case where
the body of a man was found on the roadside in South B, Nairobi.
The body lay on Likoni Road and seemed to have been killed
at the scene, police said.
He was later identified as Daud Bishai. The body had a
visible cut on the upper limb.
It is not clear who was behind the murder and the motive.
The body was picked up and taken to the mortuary pending
autopsy and other investigations.
Police said no arrest has been made so far. A team has
been set up to pursue the murder.
In Ntimaru, Kuria East, the body of a 57-year-old woman
was found in a river after a suspected murder.
Police said Robi Wambura Chegere had gone to wash her
clothes in River Robwe but never returned home. This prompted her family to
search for her before they found the body in the river with two deep cuts on
the head.
Police were called to the scene and found the body lying
with deep cuts on the head and in a pool of blood suspected to have been caused
by a sharp object.
Police handling the matter said no arrest has been made
and they are yet to establish the motive of the murder.
