This newsletter throws open those doors, taking readers on an enlightening journey into the world of scientific discovery.

It provides a rare glimpse into the minds of researchers, the stories behind groundbreaking studies, and the real-world implications of their findings—all presented in a way that is engaging, clear, and relevant to everyday life.

The publication, which debuted in December 2024, will also amplify the voice of African scientists.

“We believe that science should not be confined to academic journals but should be available and understandable to the public,” said Paul Ilado, the Editorial Director of Radio Africa Group. “Our goal is to translate complex scientific findings into language that everyday Kenyans can relate to, while maintaining accuracy and credibility.”

The newsletter features diverse content, including summaries of the latest research, expert interviews, and analyses of scientific trends that impact health policies in Kenya and beyond.

Scientists and researchers are also given a platform to share their insights directly, ensuring that scientific discourse is both accurate and reflective of the latest developments.

“Public trust in science is crucial, and we are dedicated to ensuring that the information we publish is both factual and engaging,” Ilado added.

The newsletter has already gained traction among health professionals, policymakers, and the general public, with a growing subscriber base.

It is sent to the emails of subscribers every Tuesday and Thursday. The stories are also available freely on The Star website.

As it continues to grow, the newsletter welcomes contributions from scientists and experts who wish to share their work with a wider audience.

Readers can subscribe via the publication’s website to receive weekly insights into groundbreaking research and health developments in Kenya and Africa at large.
