Classic 105 has strengthened its position as Kenya’s leading English-language radio station, recording 10,444,143 listeners nationally, according to the GeoPoll Q1 2026 Kenya Radio Audience Survey.

The station’s performance places it ahead of all its English-language rivals by a significant margin, with a wide gap separating it from the rest of the market.

“Classic 105 leads all English stations with 10,444,143 listeners, followed by Kiss FM at 4,886,286, KBC English Service at 4,025,500, Hot 96 at 2,623,929, NRG Radio at 2,595,000, Nation FM at 2,509,071, Homeboyz at 1,844,286, and Capital FM at 1,810,643,” the report stated.

Kiss FM emerges as the closest competitor, followed by KBC English Service, with all other stations trailing further behind in national audience reach.

The figures show Classic 105 commanding a lead of more than double that of its closest competitor, reinforcing its dominance in the English-language category within Kenya’s competitive radio landscape.

The station’s strong performance is attributed to its wide national footprint and consistent appeal across urban audiences, making it one of the most influential English-language broadcasters in the country.

Across the broader Radio Africa Group portfolio, Classic 105 remains the flagship station, contributing significantly to the group’s overall audience performance across national and regional markets.

Classic 105 is a Radio Africa Group station featuring an adult contemporary music and talk format, including the popular morning show “Maina and King’ang’i in the Morning”.
