In a notice published this week, the state corporation invited qualified and experienced professionals to apply for teaching positions as it seeks to bolster training in critical healthcare fields amid rising demand for skilled medical personnel.
The vacancies are spread across Nursing, Emergency Medical Technology, Community Health, Orthopaedic Trauma and Medicine, Health Insurance, Medical Engineering, Orthopaedic Technology and Mortuary Science.
Nursing has the largest share of openings, with 30 lecturer positions available.
Community Health follows with 10 vacancies, while Orthopaedic Trauma and Medicine and Mortuary Science each have eight positions.
Emergency Medical Technology, Health Insurance, Medical Engineering and Orthopaedic Technology have five vacancies apiece.
All the advertised positions are at KMTC Grade 8 and are expected to support the institution's expanding training programmes and growing need for qualified instructors.
Founded in 1927, KMTC operates under the Ministry of Health and is mandated to train healthcare professionals, conduct research and provide consultancy services in the health sector.
The institution remains the country's leading middle-level medical training college, producing thousands of health workers annually.
Applicants are required to submit their applications through the college's online recruitment portal, with KMTC stressing that hard-copy applications will not be accepted.
The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2026.
The college further stated that successful candidates will be required to present clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) before appointment.
KMTC also cautioned applicants against providing false information or fraudulent academic credentials, warning that such actions constitute criminal offences and could lead to disqualification from the recruitment process.
The hiring exercise comes as Kenya continues efforts to expand and strengthen its healthcare workforce to meet increasing demand for quality medical services across the country.
The college reiterated its commitment to equal employment opportunities and encouraged qualified youth, women, persons living with disabilities and members of minority communities to apply.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, while canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
