Radio Africa Group has recorded a total national audience of 26.2 million listeners, while securing a combined Nairobi radio market share of 40.9 per cent, according to the Radio Africa Group Q1 2026 Audience Performance report.
The performance is driven by its multi-station portfolio, with Classic 105 leading at 10,444,143 listeners nationally, followed by Radio Jambo at 9,000,000 listeners, Kiss 100 at 4,886,286 listeners and Homeboyz Radio at 1,844,286 listeners.
In Nairobi, the group’s combined reach stands at 4,178,358 listeners, translating to a 40.9 per cent share of the market across the capital.
“Classic 105 leads the Nairobi market with 1,705,286 listeners, followed by Radio Jambo at 1,244,643 listeners. Kiss 100 records 700,643 listeners, while Homeboyz Radio posts 532,786 listeners,” the report stated.
Classic 105 maintained the highest share of the Nairobi audience, while Radio Jambo followed as the leading Swahili station in the capital.

Kiss 100 and Homeboyz Radio rounded out the group’s urban and youth-focused performance in the city’s competitive radio landscape.
Across the country, the group’s regional performance shows consistent market strength, with combined audience share recorded at 12.92 per cent in Central, 11.08 per cent on the Coast, 10.67 per cent in Rift Valley, 16.00 per cent in North Eastern, 14.85 per cent in North West, 10.30 per cent in Western, 23.0 per cent in Upper Eastern, 12.97 per cent in Lower Eastern, 8.17 per cent in the Lake region, and 8.78 per cent in Kisii.
In Central region, the group’s 12.92 per cent share is anchored by Classic 105’s strong performance, while on the Coast, the 11.08 per cent share places Classic 105 as the second overall station and the leading English-language broadcaster.
In Rift Valley, the combined 10.67 per cent share reflects steady listenership, with Classic 105 contributing 1.34 million listeners and Radio Jambo accounting for 7.17 per cent of the market share.
North Eastern remains one of Radio Jambo’s strongest regions, where it leads commercial radio with a 16.00 per cent share.
In North West, Radio Jambo posts a 14.85 per cent share, ranking second overall by audience share.
Western region records a 10.30 per cent combined share, with Radio Jambo reaching 1.4 million listeners and maintaining a second-place regional position.

Upper Eastern records a combined 23.0 per cent share from Classic 105 and Radio Jambo, split at 11.83 per cent and 11.19 per cent respectively.
Lower Eastern is led by Classic 105 with a 12.97 per cent share, the highest outside Nairobi.
In the Lake region, Classic 105 posts an 8.17 per cent share with 620,000 listeners, ahead of competitors including Milele, while Radio Jambo records a 7.53 per cent share.
In Kisii, Radio Jambo leads the Swahili commercial category with an 8.78 per cent share, ahead of Radio Maisha.
