Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi will attend the inauguration ceremony of Brazil’s newly elected President Lula da Silva.

In his Christmas and New Year’s message to Kenyans on Saturday, Mudavadi said he will be gracing the occasion as he keeps Kenya’s international investment ties alive.

"I will be representing the country in Brazil’s inauguration of a newly elected President Lula,” he said.

President Lula will be inaugurated as 39th President of Brazil on January, 1, 2023.

The ceremony will be held in the National Congress in Brasília, marking Lula's third successive reign.

At the age of 77, Lula will be the oldest president to assume office in Brazil.

Brazil’s elections went through a similar phase of disputed results as was the case with Kenya's August 9 polls.

After being declared winner, Lula's main challenger Jair Bolsonaro went to court to challenge his victory, but the courts threw out the petition.

Mudavadi said on his return, he will lead from the front by living a hopeful life with a positive attitude.

"I will be leading by example,” he said.
