Ngong Road, one of Nairobi's busiest routes is currently trending on Twitter. 

The route has been a ghost road since Tuesday morning following announcements made by Opposition leader Raila Odinga declaring Maandamano Day. 

Unknown goons attacked and burnt a bus along Ngong Road, as others were teargassed amid protests. 

Several videos have circulated online indicating how passengers were being evacuated from the bus before it was set ablaze. 

They were allegedly robbed, and bitten by the goons.

Police arrived at the scene minutes later but did not salvage the bus. It was burnt beyond repair.

KOT have since condemned the incident calling on Azimio La Umoja leaders to call off the protest.
