Ex-rugby player turned chef Dennis Ombachi has been trending since Friday evening.

This is after he posted a video of his two children having broken their home television.

In a video that has since garnered more than two million views, Ombachi is heard telling his two children that they will not be able to watch a cartoon programme since they had broken the TV.

All along, the two, Sasha and Remy, are acting surprised and innocent.

Kenyans reacted to the video with mixed reactions with some defending the two children while some said during their days they would have received a thorough beating for their actions from their parents.

Here are some of the reactions:

"Stop harassing our children. There is no cartoon means what @ombachi13 ? We will watch cartoon by fire by force. There are supermarkets that are open. Abeg," media personality Lindah Ogutu said.

"Kenya huyo mtoto atapepea vibaya sana," actor and comedian DJ Shiti reacted.

Another twitter user by the name Benie said; "21st Century parenting.  Ingekua ni my parents saizi mngekua mnakula mchele kwetu."

"It's tough being a parent in this era, he had to use "children" to dound threatening instead of slippers," another user who goes by the name Protij Manu said.

Ombachi last month opened up about his battle with depression, and even contemplated suicide at some point in his life, adding that cooking helped him to heal mentally.

Speaking during an interview with Spice FM about his battle with depression, he said he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after he attempted suicide in 2018.

He said his friends took him to a psychiatrist after which he was admitted for two weeks.

It was then, after he was tested, that he was diagnosed with bipolar.

He was put on medication while also undergoing therapy.
