Bunge la Wananchi president Calvin Okoth has said that he is ready to meet President William Ruto if he calls him.
Speaking on TV 47, Gaucho said that he is neither in Azimio nor Kenya Kwanza but Bunge la Wananchi leader.
He added that he is connected to Azimio because he wants a better life for the people he leads just like Azimio.
"When President William Ruto calls me, it should be something open. I will meet him, I am just the Bunge president and I represent the people living in the slums. I am neither in Kenya Kwanza nor Azimio,” he said.
Guacho said that if Ruto calls him, he should give him room to criticise the government and not join them.
"He should give me room to criticise his work and not ask me to support him politically. I want to know why our people in the slums are still suffering and why the youth are not employed," he stated.
Gaucho recently decried unfair treatment in Azimio coalition after he was arrested and claimed that nobody bothered to bail him out.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations said Gaucho was arrested for causing disturbance.
He was later charged at the Kiambu Law Courts and was released on Sh5,000 cash bail.
"Calvin Okoth Otieno alias "Gaucho" was arraigned before Kiambu law courts on charges of creating disturbance contrary to section 95 (1)(b) of the penal code. The suspect pleaded not guilty and was released on Sh20,000 bond or cash bail of Sh5,000," DCI said.
