Epra reduces petrol, diesel prices

The price change will run from June 15 to July 14, 2023.

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority(Epra)has announced price changes for super petrol, diesel and kerosene. 

In the new changes, the price of super petrol has decreased by Sh0.66 to retail at Sh182.04, while diesel has been reduced by Sh1.12 to retail at 167.28 in Nairobi. 

However, the price of kerosene has increased by Sh0.35 to retail at Sh161.48.

The price change will run from June 15 to July 14, 2023. 

"In accordance with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No.192 of 2022, Epra has calculated the maximum retail prices of petroleum products." 

Epra said the prices are inclusive of the 8% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2018.
