Information and Technology Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo has launched a Jitume Centre at Igembe Boys High School in Meru county.
Owalo was accompanied by Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi.
"In the company of my Cabinet colleague, Agriculture CS, Mithika Linturi, I have today launched a Jitume Centre at Igembe Boys High School in Meru County," Owalo said in a tweet
This he added, was as part of the Digital transformative agenda of the Kenya Kwanza government.
The CS also launched a public WiFi at Maua Market, in Meru county.
Owalo earlier said the government is banking on enhancing skills among the youth through the new technology to enable them to access the digital job market.
"The Kenyan government is digitising the country by internet connectivity to create job opportunities for the youth," he said.
