Popular Tik Toker and member of Bunge La Mwananchi Shadrack Omondi alias Omosh Jakababa hilariously recounted how he pleaded with police officers to let him join the demos and get back to the cells.
He said after they refused to allow him to join the last week's Wednesday maandamano and today's demos, he asked them to instead throw teargas in the cell at least to feel good.
He was speaking after being released on a Sh50,000 cash bail.
"I will not talk much today as it is a demonstration day and I missed the demos. When I was in the cells I tried pleading with the police officers to at least let me go for the demos and be back to the cells," he said.
"I even pleaded with the police to lob teargas so that he could feel better. I even tried praying like Paul and Silas hoping the gates would open but nothing happened."
Police had alleged that Omondi was behind a Tiktok video where he alleged that Baba should go to Russia and procure guns for his supporters to invade the State House.
It was said he uttered the words with intent to provoke a breach of peace on May 9.
Through his lawyer Danstan Omari, Omosh said the word 'Baba enda Russia' does not disclose any offence because Russia is not a restricted country hence anybody can access it.
He also told the court the wording 'utuletee bunduki' has many meanings.
"The word utuletee bunduki has a million and one meanings, "bunduki za michezo(sports), bunduki for game hunting, bunduki in the term of toys" is not certain, also Baba simply means father, which Baba? The world has a trillion of farther, whom do you assign that name to, the police should do better than that," Omari said.
