Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Wednesday concluded his trip to UN Food Systems Summit in Rome, Italy.
On his last day, he toured the Vatican City.
Accompanied by his wife Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, the DP said that the visit provided a moment of reflection on the universality of his belief in one Creator in spite of different religions and diverse denominations.
"The beautiful City, which is the religious and administrative capital of the Roman Catholic Church, has a lot that my Spouse Dorcas Rigathi and I have learnt from, more so on leadership," he said
The DP termed the Summit as highly successful.
"It was a great way of concluding the UN Food Systems Summit, whose engagements were highly successful," he said.
Gachagua had left the country on Saturday for Rome to attend the United Nations Food Systems Summit.
He addressed the summit on behalf of President William Ruto.
At the summit, the DP spoke on financing food systems with a focus on Kenya's transformation initiative.
Pastor Dorcas on her part took the opportunity to advocate for the rescue of the boychild and men in general from drug and substance abuse.
She on Tuesday shared her passion for the boychild programme she runs back in Kenya which seeks to rehabilitate boys and men from drugs and substance abuse.
Pastor Dorcas shared her vision for revalidating the boys and men of Kenya and getting them off the streets during her visit to the Villa Maraini Foundation.
She called for the establishment of systems in countries to rehabilitate those caught in the unfortunate state of addictions by placing them in rescue centres.
