Beware of fake jobs, tender adverts – KTDA

The agency said unscrupulous individuals are also using fake letterheads and stamps to dupe the public.

The Kenya Tea Development Agency has raised concern over fake advertisements that the firm is employing or calling for bids on tenders. 

In a statement, KTDA said they had noted that unscrupulous individuals are offering fake tenders and jobs to unsuspecting individuals in the name of KTDA and its managed factories.

"The scammers have registered fake domain names (websites) intended to mimic or resemble the KTDA domain which they are using to defraud unsuspecting users," the firm said. 

KTDA added that unscrupulous individuals are also using fake KTDA letterheads and stamps to dupe the public.

The firm said the public ought to be notified that all jobs and tenders by KTDA are advertised in national newspapers and the official KTDA website www.ktdateas.com.

"KTDA does not ask for payment at any stage of recruitment," the firm said.
