President William Ruto will on Friday return to Gusii land to launch development projects in Nyamira.
Ruto returns to Nyamira exactly five months after his first visit trip to the county in March- the first-ever visit since he became president.
During his tour, the president will launch the Sironga affordable housing in West Mugirango constituency and also tour two other constituencies.
The constituency is represented by Jubilee's Steve Mogaka.
On Thursday, North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko, who is a key ally of Ruto, told the Star that the president will indeed tour Nyamira county on Friday.
"The president will indeed visit Nyamira on Friday to commission several projects," the UDA MP said.
During the one-day visit, the president will also launch a key link road in North Mugirango that connects the county with the neighbouring Homa Bayside.
At the same time, Ruto will cross over to commission the construction of a stalled market in Borabu constituency.
The constituency is represented by ODM's Patrick Osero.
The tour comes days after the president held an interdenominational prayer session at Nyanturago in Kisii.
Since taking over office, the president has been to Kisii three times, attending Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu's homecoming, visited South Mugirango and also attended last week's prayers at Nyanturago.
Ruto has, however, been to Nyamira county once in March when he toured the region to commission several projects.
He was then hosted by area Governor Amos Nyaribo.
