Kenya Power announces electricity interruption

The company said seven counties will experience a planned blackout.

Kenya Power has announced several parts of the country will experience electricity interruptions on Wednesday 

In a statement, the company said seven counties will experience a planned blackout. 

The counties are; Nairobi, Kiambu, Makueni, Muranga, Nyeri, Kirinyaga and Mombasa. 

In Nairobi, parts of Kayole and Saika will experience power interruption from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Dagoretti and Karen are also under the radar. 

"Part of Dagoretti Rd, Warai South Rd, Warai North Rd, Nyumbani Children’s Home, Pepo Lane, Three D Lane, Windridge, Mudodo Lane, Link Rd, The Hub, Don Bosco & adjacent customers will experience power interruptions," the statement read.   

In Kiambu county, part of Thindigua, Paradise Lost, Runda Palms, Citam, Evergreen, Runda Mhasibu, and Wadi Degla will also have no power between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.     

As for Mombasa, customers in Mrima Primary, Mount Sinai, Barabara ya Mchanga, Harambee, Corner Mpya, Bububu, Mbuta, Ujamaa, Brazil, and Ijara will also experience interruptions.
