Residents in all 47 counties have been advised to be on the lookout for potential floods.

Met also said the rains being experienced in some parts of the country are expected to intensify.

"Heavy rainfall being experienced over the northeast, northwest, and central highlands is expected to intensify and spread to Nairobi, the southern lowlands, the western sector, and the coast on Thursday, 2nd November," the forecast shows.

According to the forecast, heavy rains of more than 30mm in 24 hours are likely to continue between Friday 3, and Sunday 5.
