President William Ruto is today expected to tour his Rift Valley turf.

Ruto will be in Nandi for a series of development activities which includes the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of affordable housing in Kapsabet town.

The President who will be accompanied by Gachagua among other leaders will traverse the three subcounties of Nandi North, Nandi Central and Tinderet.

His tour will begin at Tinderet where he will commission the Tinderet Technical Training Institute before crossing over to Kapsabet to launch the construction of affordable housing.

He will then commission the county chicken slaughterhouse before touring Nandi north to unveil Kaiboi National Polytechnic and commission an ICT hub.

Later in the afternoon, Ruto will inspect the Nandi County Cooperative Creameries.

The President is also expected to shed light on talks with the Judiciary after Chief Justice Martha Koome sought an audience with him to address their concerns.

Koome revealed in a press conference Monday that she has written to the President seeking a meeting to establish the genesis of Ruto's complaints against the Judiciary.

“He might have received information because we have various machinery and agencies for collecting information and we would like to engage him so that he can give us that information,” CJ Koome said.

“So we will be looking out for that dialogue, we have written and I believe that the President is going to give us an appointment,” Koome added.

Among the leaders who have spoken on remarks by Ruto concerning the Judiciary is Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei.

Cherargei said they are in concurrence with the President that there is a problem within the arm that needs to be addressed.
