The Kenya National Highways Authority on Wednesday gave an update on the traffic flow along Nairobi Nakuru Highway.
In a notice, the authority said that the traffic in the Soko Mjinga area along the busy highway had been caused by protests.
"We would like to inform all motorists plying the Nairobi- Nakuru Highway of a traffic snarl-up around the Soko Mjinga area arising from earlier protests by locals, " reads the notice.
However, the agency said police have already dispersed the protesters and they are currently restoring the traffic flow.
