Former Laikipia women representative Cate Waruguru echoed Kahiga 's sentiment adding that the region is rallying behind Gachagua for the sake of unity.

She pointed out that there are individuals who are being used to fight the deputy president

"We know them by name and mostly they didn't believe in the Kenya Kwanza government during the campaigns, if they want to be deputy president they should come to us just like the DP did, "Waruguru said.

Naivasha MP Jane Kihara said President William Ruto appointed Gachagua as his deputy based on his abilities.

She said that the people should support the duo for the realisation of the Kenya Kwanza manifestos.

"We must support Gachagua as our leader and Mount Kenya leaders must work together, we don't want people to be divided," Kihara said.
