UDA extends registration deadline for coming constituency elections to Wednesday

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has extended the registration deadline for the forthcoming constituency elections to Wednesday, May 29.

In a public notice posted on X on Monday, the party notified all elected ward officials regarding the extension of the registration deadline for the elections scheduled for May 31.

The notice is signed by the National Election Board chairman Anthony Mwaura.

The counties affected include; Nairobi, Narok, West Pokot, Homa Bay and Busia.

Mwaura stated that those eligible to vote are elected ward officials from the ward election conducted on May 18 in the aforementioned counties, nominated and elected members of the National Assembly.

Elected ward officials from the repeat ward elections conducted on the May 19, 2o, 25, 27 and 28 are also eligible to vote.

He further urged all candidates to verify their details and ensure full participation in the electoral process.

"All candidates must verify their details and make new any necessary changes in the portal by Wednesday, 29th of May 2024 at 4:00pm," read part of the notice.

"Please ensure your participation in this important electoral process," he added.
