President William Ruto has conveyed his condolences to Prof Tom Ojienda following the passing of his mother Agnetta Okello.

In a statement on X, Ruto said Mama Agnetta was a distinguished teacher.

"She was a lover of education and a dedicated lady whose mentorship has shaped many people's lives," the President said.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends at this painful time. Rest In Peace, Mama Agnetta."

Ojienda thanked the President for his message of condolence.

"On behalf of my family and myself, we thank you Mr. President for your message of condolence," he said on X.

"We are also grateful for your support and words of encouragement during this difficult time."
