Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said that Azimio will not allow Deputy President Gachagua to be mistreated.

Speaking in Ruiru on Friday Kalonzo said that Gachagua is a courageous leader and he should be supported to perform his mandate to the people.

He said that they would not allow the impeachment of Gachagua.

"If they try to impeach Gachagua, we in Azimio will not allow and we will support him, "Kalonzo said.

Kalonzo said that Gachagua should not be afraid of being called a villager.

"Politics is local and Gachagua should not be afraid of being called a villager," he said.

He further warned the government of terrorising demonstrators.

DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa who was also present said that the Mount Kenya region should court other communities ahead of 2027.

He said that the country is losing its track.

The wiper leader also decried the killing of youthful protester Rex Masai Kanyike and called for a swift probe to acord his family justice.

"Let us have a moment of silence for our brother (Rex Kanyike)who was shot and killed during the anti-Finance Bill protest on Thursday," Kalonzo said.

He noted that the right to demonstrate is a right enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
