Shops are opened on major streets that were affected by the Gen Z protests on Tuesday.

A spot check by the Star has shown that business premises are open along Moi Avenue, Tom Mbaya, Accra Road, River Road and other major streets.

On Wednesday, police banned demos in Nairobi CBD.

Today, several police officers were deployed in the CBD.

The officers are strategically stationed in various parts.

They are armed with tear gas canisters and batons in readiness for any eventuality.

At Kencom, the epicentre of the demos, a truck full of anti-riot police officers was stationed as other officers patrolled the streets.
