KQ to passengers: Arrive at JKIA 4hrs before scheduled flight departure time on Tuesday

Kenya Airways has said that passengers planning to travel on Tuesday should expect traffic disruptions on major roads leading to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

KQ has thus advised passengers planning to travel on Tuesday to arrive at the airport four hours before their departure time.

In a statement on Monday, KQ said that passengers should plan early to avoid inconveniences.

"Due to anticipated traffic disruptions on major roads leading to JKIA on Tuesday 23rd July 2024, customers are advised to arrive at the airport at least four (4) hours before their scheduled flight departure time," the statement read.

"Customers are also encouraged to plan extra time to avoid potential delays en route to the airport."

The airline apologised for the inconveniences that passengers may face on Tuesday assuring them of their safety and well-being.

KQ said that customers travelling can physically check in at the airport as early as four hours before flight departure.

They can also book online via www.kenya-airways.com or on their mobile devices via the KQ Mobile app from 48 hours to 90 minutes before flight departure.

KQ said that they are doing everything possible to ensure flights depart and arrive on schedule.

They, however, said that customers should expect some delays in their departure and arrival times that could be impacted by the traffic disruptions.
