Ruto to chair UDA NEC meet

President William Ruto will today chair a UDA National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.

The meeting comes days after some supporters of Secretary General Cleophas Malala invaded the party headquarters.

On Monday, Joe Khalende, one of the founding members declared himself the party SG.

Paris Olympic games 

Kenya will be hoping to register its first gold medal today during the 10,000m men's race.

Daniel Mateiko, Bernard Kibet and Nicholas Kimeli will be out to reclaim the title when they compete with Jacob Kiplimo and Joshua Cheptegei from Uganda.

The last time Kenya won an Olympic gold medal was in the 1998 Seoul Olympics by John Ngugi.

Kidero case

A case in which former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and 10 others are charged with conspiring to commit an offence of corruption allegedly leading to the loss of public funds in the sum of Sh213,327,300 for services not rendered will be heard today.
