JKIA, Adani deal

The case in which Journalist Gachoka and Mt Kenya Jurists are challenging the Adani-JKIA takeover is listed for directions today.

Gachoka and Mt Kenya Jurist claim that the whole process regarding the deal is tainted with illegalities.

Through advocate Ndegwa Njiru, the duo claim that the takeover or the proposed alienation was never subjected to the mandatory public participation yet it involves a strategic national asset.

The Adani's have since claimed that the deal is yet to be sealed saying the project is at the review and due diligence stage.

Nairobi Trade Fair

The Nairobi International Trade Fair officially starts today at the Jamhuri ASK showground.

This year's theme is " Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth".

This year’s Fair has attracted the participation of over 350 exhibitors spanning various sectors including Agriculture, Manufacturing, Housing, Small and Medium Enterprises, Banking, Public and Private Sector Institutions, Hospitality, and Education.

The week-long event promises to showcase a plethora of new technologies and innovations aimed at fostering sustainable development.
