Safaricom Opens New Tech-Focused Outlet in Eastleigh to Serve Business Customers

Safaricom has launched a new tech-focused outlet at BBS Mall in Eastleigh, Nairobi, aimed at better serving business customers.

The store combines physical and digital experiences, designed to handle over 500 customers daily, with specialized zones for M-PESA, enterprise services, technology, gaming, and customer care.

The outlet also includes private meeting booths for online meetings, aftersales support through a Tech Bar, and display walls featuring devices and accessories.

Safaricom  CEO Peter Ndegwa, said the integration in the outlet will cater for all the different segments its our customers at one touch point.

"Having one space where we can support our super agents, address our dealers' issues and have a care desk to still provide essential services to our walk-in customers speaks to that journey," said Ndegwa.

"The focus will be on delivering technology-first, customer-centric services, aligning with our mission to become Africa's leading purpose-led technology company.”

Customers will receive assistance from dedicated staff on products like Kenyan-assembled 4G phones.

This launch is part of Safaricom's strategy to expand its retail presence across the country, where it currently operates over 47 shops, 373 franchise stores, and 2,900 authorized dealer outlets.

Safaricom also has 273,000 M-PESA agent outlets, all aimed at enhancing customer service.
