Swamibapa 'A' defeated Ruaraka A by seven wickets to clinch the Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) Super Division 50 Overs Knockout title.

Right-handed batsman Morris Ouma (not out) was the toast of the Swamibapa outfit with a fine knock of 86 from 80 deliveries faced in the final of the NPCA Knock-Out tournament at Shree Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj grounds.

Ouma, who represented Kenya in the Under-19 World Cups of both 2000 and 2002 and the 2003 edition of the Sharjah Cup, displayed fine batting skills which elevated his teammate’s confidence levels in their innings.

Dhwanil Patel (also not out) hit a cool 51 from 52 deliveries for the formidable swamis to mount the much-needed pressure on Ruaraka.

Swamibapa's Peter Koech surprised everyone including himself when he collected five wickets to his credit, a performance that also contributed immensely to Swamibapa’s win.

Ruaraka 'A' won the toss and elected to bat first smashing 184 for 10 in 38.5 Overs.  Chasing the target, Swamibapa needed just 31.1 overs to bowl out their crease adversaries with 189 for 3.

The victory hands the Swamis back-to-back titles following their 45-run win over the Sikh Union side that won the NPCA T-20 League title in March.

As usual, Ruaraka's top-order batsmen Sachin Gil and Pushkar Sharma were the best performers for their side with scores of 59 and 57 respectively. But Pushkar savoured eight boundaries and a six before being run out by Dhwanil. Sachin was then caught out by Abhinav Tandel.

Stray Lions 'B' beat Kongonis Cricket Club 'A' by 21 runs to lift the NPCA Division One 50 Overs Knockout title in a match hosted at Sikh Union Club.

At Jamhuri High School grounds, SCLPS YL Development Team beat Pirates Cricket Club Nakuru 'A' by 1 wicket to clinch the NPCA Division Two 50 Overs Knockout trophy.

NPCA secretary Narendra Patel congratulated the teams for their brilliant display on the crease given the long lay-off when torrential rains arrived in April.
