Mozzart Kenya Limited has renewed their sponsorship deal with the national women's volleyball team, Malkia Strikers, to a tune of Sh15 million for one and a half years.
The company partnered with the Kenya queens last year, offering the team Sh10 million before their participation in the World Championships that were co-hosted by the Netherlands and Poland.
Speaking during the handover of the cheque at Golden Tulip hotel, Westlands on Wednesday, the company's country director Sasa Krneta assured the team of their support.
"We firmly believe in the power of sports to unite, inspire and empower individuals and our partnership with Malkia Strikers exemplifies this belief," Krneta said.
Malkia are expected to leave on Friday for a three-week training camp in Morocco ahead of the Challenger Cup in France and the Africa Nations Championships set for Cameroon.
The Challenger Cup will take place in Laval between July 27-30 while the biannual continental championship is slated for August 6-18.
"Malkia have consistently represented our country with pride and have brought home numerous accolades. Through this renewed sponsorship, we remain committed to providing the necessary resources and to support and enhance the performance and development of Malkia Strikers," Krneta said.
He continued: "We firmly believe in investing in our national teams and giving them the tools they need to excel on international stage.
"We recognise the importance of the two assignments as they serve as crucial stepping stones on the road to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games."
