Butali Warriors will unleash a fearsome attack against Strathmore Scorpions in the Kenya Hockey Union men's Premier League match on Saturday evening at the City Park Stadium.

The sugar millers welcome back a formidable attacking duo of George Mutira and Kalvins Kanu.

The pair missed the team's  6-1 demolition of Kenya College of Accountancy University KCA-U on June 24 because of work-related commitments according to team manager Victor Opere.

"The return of Kanu and Mutira is a big boost ahead of the Gladiators match. We will attack 'Strath' from the onset now that all our strikers are available for selection," Opere said.

Second-placed Butali will regain top spot with victory. The league defensing champions have 17 points from seven matches, two points less than leaders Western Jaguars, although the latter have played a game more.

Butali is the only team in the men's cadre that is yet to lose a match this season, with just two draws the only time they have dropped points.

"History favours us against the Gladiators. We have beaten them many times. We start as favourites but we won't underrate them. They are an exciting team to watch. We will tackle them accordingly," Opere added.

Meanwhile, former women's league champions Blazers will entertain Sailors on July 9.

The Blazers, who relinquished their title to Strathmore Scorpions last season, top the eight-team league with 15 points from five matches.

Sailors on the other hand have accumulated nine points from six matches to sit fifth.
