Muhambe named Madira soccer Assassins new coach

Madira featured in the just concluded East Africa School Games in Rwanda.

Francis Muhambe is the new head coach for the newly promoted club to Kenya Women's Premier League, Madira Soccer Assassins.

Madira Soccer Assassins chief executive officer,  Nickson Muleri said Muhambe has all the qualities to guide Madira Soccer Assassins through the competitive KWPL.

"We settled for Muhambe because apart from the qualifications, he has the experience as well having been with the team while playing the lower leagues," Mureli said.

Madira featured in the just concluded East Africa School Games in Rwanda.

Muleri said will recruit only three strong and experienced players to add to their squad ahead of the 2023/2024 season that kicks off in late September. 

We are planning to recruit a goalkeeper, a defender, and a striker in a bid to strengthen the departments," he noted.

He, however, said discipline will be a key component in the recruitment process in order to safeguard the students.

At the moment, the team will continue training Madira Girls grounds from next week to keep the girls in shape for the opening match against Bullets FC.

Muleri said Soccer Assassins will be the sister team to KCB and they are currently working on the kit to fit the standards for both home and away matches.

"Our team was picked as the sister team to KCB to fulfill the Fifa standards where all the clubs to caf events must have women's teams," Muleri said.
