Champions National Cereals and Produce Board pounded Spartan 41-25 in a Kenya Handball Federation league tie at Nyayo Stadium.

The Millers raced to a 22-9 halftime lead and never looked back. The win propelled them to joint tops with early pace-setters Ulinzi and General Service Unit (GSU) who have 10 points. The three giants remain unbeaten in five games.

“After this game,  focus shifts to the next immediately because we are playing every game as a final,” said the Millers' coach Bryan Mathews.

He added: “In today’s match, we were not very good in attack. We had a lot of turnovers but we took the win and that’s what matters. We will work on some of our mistakes this week before the next match.”
