Champions National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) beat Trans Nzoia 31-19 in a Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) league clash at Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday.

The Millers, who led 15-8 at the break, had six goals from Morgan Simuyu and four each from Timothy Karimi and Brian Wakhungu. Dan Ngovi and Brian Etyang hit five each for the Kitale side.

Kenya University dismissed Desert Scorpions 41-32. They led 18-16 at half-time. Kelvin Macharia and Willie Kanaga shot 12 each for KU. Martin Oreta had 10 and Stephen Wanyama seven for the losers.

Rangers pipped University of Eldoret UoE Pipers 30-28. They were up 16-11 at the breather. Alexander Juma shot eight goals and Richard Yusuf six for the winners. UoE had 10 from Kevin Rotich.

UoE also fell 36-25 to Buccaneers who had 17 points from Randy Ochieng and nine from Martin Okitoyi. Daniel Ombara and Rotich hit six each for UoE.

Trans Nzoia hammered Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUATS) 33-18. They led 15-6 at half-time. Kevin Wasike had nine goals, Brian simiyu (eight) and Dan Ngovi (seven) in the win .

Nanyuki managed a close 22-20 victory over Rangers. Willy Sande had eight and Samson Krop scored five goals with Donald Bwibo replying with seven.
