General Service Unit (GSU) clobbered University of Eldoret Pipers 32-17 in a Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) league match at Nyayo National Stadium.

The win saw the unbeaten paramilitary side bag a maximum of 20 points from 10 matches. They took a commanding 18-9 lead at halftime and went all the way.

Christopher Mayende showed class as a top marksman again with 10 goals while Augustine Okwiri managed four. The visiting students had four apiece from Kelvin Rotich and Alphan Ndege.

The rampant GSU had also clobbered Spartan 37-22 in another game and Mayende and Martin Nguli nailed seven goals each. It was mixed results for UoE who lost a close game, going down 35-34 to Scorpions.

The winners had eight from Mulei Maanzo and seven from Fredrik Luvembe. The Eldoret-based students did well to beat Nanyuki 28-26,  behind five goals from Rotich and four from Kelvin Kibet.

The Buccaneers hit the Technical University of Kenya (Tuk) 34-31. Randy Ochieng grabbed 10 goals and Fieruba Isaac nine for the winners.

Spartans led 15-12 at halftime and went on to stun Strathmore University 25-21. Brian Mutunga scored six goals while Cliff Oduor and Felix Kingola added four each.

The previous day, reigning champions National Cereals and Produce Board whitewashed Kenyatta University 45-24.

Winstone Chekai and Timothy Kirimi shot six goals each. Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) held Black Mamba to a 24-24 draw as Dolan Bwibo had six goals and Lewis Maraga five.

Mamba had six from Joel Koech and four from Victor Luvale.
