Bunyore head Coach Timothy Ondeko wants his striking force to up their game ahead of their two tricky Women's Premier League matches scheduled for this week.

Bunyore play Madira Soccer Assassins on Wednesday and confront Vihiga Queens on Sunday.

Ondeko wants his team to return to winning ways after going down against Bungoma Queens at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma.

He said a positive result in their match against Madira Soccer Assassins at Ebusakami Primary School grounds will be crucial if they are to remain in contention for the title.

"I am expecting my charge to collect maximum points to put us where we are supposed to be in the KWPL,” Ondeko said.

“We are currently sixth on the log with nine points after five matches while our matchday opponents are eighth with four points from two matches."

Madira Assassins coach Francis Muhambe said it's time to focus on the league after the closure of schools.

“We have only played two KWPL matches since some of our players were involved with the national team while others were sitting their national exams,” Muhambe said.

This saw them skip matches against Kenya Police Bullets, Gaspo Ladies, and Bunyore Starlets.

“We will be tackling our matches with the seriousness they deserve and our opponents should prepare well for us."

They beat Tranzoia Falcons 5-1 and drew 1-1 with Zetech Sparks in the two matches played so far.
