It will be a tight weekend for National Youth Service teams as they play four Kenya Handball Federation matches at Nyayo Stadium.

On Sunday, the men have a date with Hunters as the ladies face third-placed Ulinzi Sharks.

“These are very tough matches, but we are prepared. I worry that top scorer Denis (Kiptanui) is doubtful through injury,” said Naburuck.

“My girls play the top two and it will be a good test for them. They will gauge themselves against the best teams in the league.”

Women champions Nairobi Water Queens return to action buoyed by their success at the East and Central Africa Club championships in December.

Coach Jack Ochieng said they are ready for Daystar University on Saturday and Mountain Queens on Sunday in what should be easy games.

General Service Unit (GSU) tackle Kenyatta University as Engineers confront Buccaneers in a close match-up, on paper.

Ulinzi Sharks, led by captain Euphracia Mukatia, will exchange fire with eighth-placed Amazon on Saturday and TUK a day later. Engineers take on Strathmore University as NCPB meet Rising Star, who are coming off a fruitful week.

“The girls are ready after a good performance in the regional championships. There are no injuries at all. We will take a game at a time,” said NCPB coach Brian Mathews.
